Colorado International School is an independent educational institution for students ages 3 through 14, Pre-K through Middle School, and eventually leading to a high school program. Colorado International School serves students in French, German, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. CoIS is a candidate* school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that CoIS believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as IB World Schools can offer any of its three academic programs: the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the IB Diploma Programme. Who We Are
CoIS is a unique American international school that pairs American and international curricula. CoIS offers dual language programs and multicultural understanding, taking advantage of the best teaching strategies from around the world. Starting in preschool, children have an opportunity to be immersed in a world language and to learn that second language in the same manner as they learned the first – through experiencing it. The program continues to offer this second language immersion through elementary school, but adds English in progressively greater amounts. The school is committed to each child’s acquiring comprehensive knowledge in the academic content of both languages. In the middle school years, a student studies English and his or her second language, as well as a third world language.

Language skills are essential in the global community and its economy of today and tomorrow. Our students will not only be ready for colleges and universities in the USA or abroad, but they will have the skills to be future leaders. They will be world citizens.

Employment News: CoIS is currently seeking teachers for the following positions:
Enrichment teachers – All languages and special programs (dance, music, art, etc.).
Native French Teachers – Part time.
