CLASS NAME AND DESCRIPTION

Ambassador Club:
Classes from 8-9 a.m. are for preschool students.  This class rotates among CoIS staff members who teach a variety of topics at this time in a comparative manner:  gardening, reading, fairy tales, theater, sports and cooking.  The goal is to enrich students while preparing them for their school day.
Monday – Friday 8:00-9:00 amAlthough comprehensive preK/K tuition covers Ambassador Club hours, register your child for Ambassador Club which you know you will use on a regular basis.
Mandarin Club (preK-High School):
Taught in Mandarin by Ms. Jie, Mr.  Zhang, and Ms. Lu, this class will focus on building a solid foundation in the Mandarin language through content and fun.

German Language (age 7+):  Ms. Laura teaches German to elementary and middle school students, focusing on a defined sequence of German language acquisition. Mondays 4:00 – 5:00 PM (31 classes; 31 hours)Entire Year: $280 (sibling discount applies)Semester: If paid by semester:  $160
German Fun and Games (preK/K/1st):  Ms. Anne will introduce students to a variety of fun games and activities in German that will promote speaking German while having fun. Mondays 4:00- 5:00 PM (31 classes; 31 hours)Entire Year: $280 (sibling discount applies)Semester: If paid by semester:  $160
 
Spanish Club (ages 7+): Ms. Yoly teaches this Spanish class for elementary school children to reinforce, maintain and improve Spanish-language skills of previously-immersed Spanish students. French Club (ages 10+ and siblings):  Mr. Eric teaches French to upper elementary and middle school students, focusing on a defined sequence of French language acquisition. Chinese Calligraphy (age 7+):  Mr. Zhang teaches Chinese brush stroke and calligraphy to older students, reinforcing the artistic foundations of Mandarin language acquisition. High School Math Club:  Mr. Harsini tutors high school students in all levels of high school math.  Math Club is limited to 10 students. Saturdays 2:00- 3:00 PM (34 classes; 34 hours)Entire Year:  $310(sibling discount applies)Semester:  If paid by semester: $190
Teen/Adult Farsi Club:  Mr. Harsini teaches a mixed-age group of middle and high school students Farsi on Saturday mornings.  Classes include oral proficiency as well as reading and writing and cultural activities. German Saturday School:  CoIS is delighted to offer a fully-accredited German Saturday School for all age levels and language proficiencies.  From preschool to high school, CoIS’ German Saturday School will provide interested students with a defined curriculum sequence and German language exams.  For more information, please contact the front office.  The hours of operation for the German Saturday School are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 30 Saturdays in 2011-2012. NOTE:  German Saturday School takes place in Denver at CoIS. Saturdays 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (30 classes; 90 hours)Entire Year:$650 (sibling discount applies)Semester:  If paid by semester, $350 
   
Adult German Saturday School:  CoIS is delighted to offer Adult German classes to beginner and intermediate adult students.  NOTE:  Adult German Saturday School takes place in Denver. ENROLLMENT DETAILS

  • Classes will run every day that the school is in session.
  • Enrollment is done on a first come first served basis and parents will be notified only if there is no space available in the class of their choice. In other words, no news is good news and your child has been accepted in the class.
  • A minimum of 3 students is needed for classes to take place.
  • Fees listed are for the Spring Semester only and reflect the length and the number of classes for each activity.
  • All payments must be received before the class takes place. If a student who has not registered has to be enrolled in a class because of late pick-up, payment ($15) for that class is expected at time of pick-up. If drop-off fee is not paid at time of pick-up, the business office will submit an invoice to be paid upon receipt.
  • 25% discount will be deducted for any student who is enrolled in 10 hours a week of enrichment classes.
  • A 5% sibling discount can be applied to siblings. (e.g. If you have two children attending Enrichment classes, each child would pay the full amount minus 5%)
  • Drop-in Fee $10/hour (payment must be received at time of drop-off. If payment is not received at time of drop-off, invoice will be sent with a $5/hour penalty fee).
  • Re-enrollment for the next term is not automatic and registration must be done at the beginning of each term.
  • No refund will be granted for withdrawal after the second week of the program, nor will any refund or reduction be given for classes missed due to the students’ absences.
  • Registration and changes in enrollment must be done either using the attached form or by email at admin@coloradointernationalschool.org
  • AP/ Teen Mandarin and AP/ Teen Spanish will be offered this fall! However, days have not been chosen for these courses, as we hope to meet scheduling needs of our participants. If you are interested, please let CoIS know right away!
