CLASSES OFFERED

The CoIS Enrichment Program offers CoIS and non-CoIS students of all ages and grades great fun in a stimulating environment.  CoIS has offered chess club, baton-twirling, kickboxing, guitar, drums and other types of activities in the past.  Please let the front office know if you have any suggestions for great activities to offer in upcoming sessions.

Classes from 3-4 p.m. are primarily for elementary, middle and high school students and classes from 4-5 p.m. serve the preschool and kindergarten aged students.  Language classes can be expanded as needed.

Ambassador Club:
Classes from 8-9 a.m. are for preschool students and rotate among CoIS staff members who teach a variety of topics at this time in a comparative manner:  gardening, reading, fairy tales, theater, sports and cooking.  The goal is to enrich students while preparing them for their school day.Classes from 3-4 p.m. are for K-8 students who use this time as a Study Hall for supervised daily skill reinforcement.
Monday – Friday 8:00-9:00 AM (preK) and 3:00-4:00 PM (K-8)Although comprehensive preK or K-8 tuition covers Ambassador Club hours, register your child for the Ambassador Club that you know you will use on a regular basis. 
 
Mandarin Club (preK-High School):
Taught in Mandarin by the Mandarin Program teaching team, this class reinforces, maintains and improves Mandarin-language skills in a defined and engaging sequence of Mandarin language acquisition.  For high school students, this class furthers progress toward college advanced placement skills and exams.

German Club (preK-High School):  Taught in German by the German Program teaching team, this class reinforces, maintains and improves German-language skills in a defined and engaging sequence of German language acquisition.  For high school students, this class furthers progress toward college advanced placement skills and exams. Chinese Calligraphy (preK-High School):  The Mandarin Program teaching team teaches Chinese brush stroke and calligraphy, reinforcing the artistic foundations of Mandarin language acquisition. German Saturday School:  CoIS is delighted to offer a fully-accredited German Saturday School for all age levels and language proficiencies.  From preschool to high school, CoIS’ German Saturday School will provide interested students with a defined curriculum sequence and German language exams.  Tuition includes materials.
