FAQ

How can I donate?

Direct donations to the campaign can be made by cash, check (made to COIS), credit card or online through our website.  Please contact the business office (accounts@coloradointernationalschool.org) or Ms. Cristina (admin@coloradointernationalschool.org) for more information on payment options.

What do I need to deduct my donations from my annual taxes?

Colorado International School is a not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) organization.  Unlike tuition and fees, donations to the annual giving campaign are tax deductible.   When you make a contribution Colorado International School will send you an acknowledgment letter that serves as a tax receipt.  The letter will note the date and amount of your donation, and include a disclosure that no goods or services were received in exchange.   Larger donations yield larger tax benefits!

I already contribute to the various fund-raising activities throughout the year. Why is it important that I participate to this campaign?

CoIS families provide tremendous support in countless ways, from participating in any school activity to  contributing to the numerous PTSO fund-raising efforts throughout the year.  However, the annual giving campaign is an investment in our students’ future.  While tuition covers some of the cost of the Colorado International School education, support from the annual giving campaign allows the school to provide the best possible education for our students.
